CUPERTINO – The death of Apple’s front man Steve Jobs on Wednesday has been met with accolades of utmost respect and greatness by Presidents, dignitaries, colleagues and even competitors, for the man many consider the greatest technological innovator of the modern age.

Tim Cook (CEO Apple): “Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius and the world a fantastic human being. Those who were fortunate enough to know him or work with him, have lost a good friend and an inspiring mentor (…) Words can’t express our sadness over his death or the gratitude for his work. We will honor his memories by continuing the work that he loved so much.”

Steve Wozniak (Apple Co-founder): “People often have goals in their lives. All the goals Steve Jobs ever set for himself he achieved over and above.”

Bill Gates (Microsoft): “Rarely the world gets to know someone who has made such a profound impact as Steve. His impact will be felt over many generations still to come. I will miss him tremendously.”

Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook): “Steve, thank you for being a mentor and a friend. Thanks for showing us that what you build can change the world. I will miss you.”

Barack Obama: “Steve Jobs is one of America’s greatest innovators. He has changed our lives, put a complete industry on its head and saw to it that everyone sees the world differently.”

Steve Jobs did indeed change the world not just by introducing advanced technological marvels like the iPad,iPhone and iPod but by showing the world that what the mind can dream, the mind can achieve.

Steve Jobs passed away on Wednesday October 5th at the age of 56, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He died peacefully at his home in Cupertino, surrounded by his loving wife Laurene and his children.
