BEVERLY HILLS – Jim Morrison, who died 40 years ago on July 3 1971, just 24 years old, is still as captivating today as he was in the 1960s.

Dark, bad, sensual, sexual and mysterious, the charismatic lead singer of the 1960s rock band The Doors, hypnotized audiences around the world with his bizarre lyrics and larger than life personality.

Even in death, the persona that shrouds Jim Morrison as a mystic vale continues to haunt and captivate the world and his death is as mysterious and intriguing as he was in real life.

Despite being gone 40 years, Jim Douglas Morrison lives on in the hearts, minds and souls of many. Neither his spirit nor his poetic expressions have fainted over the years, if anything, they are stronger now than they’ve ever been.

Thousands continue to visit his grave site in Paris sharing memories of days gone, leaving behind mementos. Some mystically try to capture the spirit of a man who’s music, rasp voice and profound lyrics continue to resonate endlessly throughout the ages.

Jim Morrison is still widely regarded, with his wild personality and performances, as one of the most iconic, charismatic and pioneering frontmen in rock music history.
