OSLO – Horrific stories of death continue to surface from the tragic shooting at the Island of Utoya.
Young innocent children whose lives where viciously cut short by a madman are being reveled by more heart-wrenching stories.
The Princess of Norway, Mette-Marit, has been told that her 51 year old step-brother was killed on the island of Utoya while trying to protect his 10 year old son.
Trond Bernsten, who co-incidentally was a police officer, was shot dead by the deranged gunman, Anders Behring Breivik, according to Norway’s newspaper Dagbladet.

Officer Bernsten’s father was married to Marit Tjessem, mother of the Princess.
“The thoughts of the Princess are with close relatives,” a spokesperson for the royal family said.
Bernsten was not on the Island of Utoya in the capacity of a police officer but was with the children as a guide for the five day event. It’s not clear if Bernsten joined the youth-camp as a security guard.
A spokesperson for the police department stated that one police officer has joined the kids during his off-duty time but was not sure in what capacity.
3 days after the deadly shooting on the Norway’s paradise island of Utoya, authorities are still searching for children that have been reported missing and whose bodies haven’t been found yet.
