CORRECTED!

NEW YORK – The men and women that carried out the assassination of Osama Bin Laden are part of the United States Navy Seal.

Navy Seals are a part of the Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC) as well as the maritime component of the United States Special Operations Command and are known as being extreme soldiers.  These are the men that are placed in the thick of violent encounters.

Making it as a Navy Seal, that is known for creating individuals with extreme physiques, extreme mental toughness and extreme fighting abilities, is an honor in itself.

Team 6 Seals are the elite, the cream of the crop, the best of the best

Within the division of Navy Seal is an even more elite group of Seals known as Team Six. These are the cream of the crop, the best of the best.  These are the infallible, invincible Rambos capable of carrying out even the most dangerous mission at a heart beat.

The assassination of Bin Laden was conducted by several Team Six Seals.  This highly dangerous mission was completely in only 40 minutes from start to finish and despite having a black hawk helicopter crash during the attack, not a single U.S. military was injured or killed; proof positive how highly skilled Seals are.

Team Six Seals train all year long, even when they have no missions to attend.  They operate in complete anonymity and their assigned operations are never discussed, they don’t exist as far as the U.S. government is concerned and are never honored for their accomplishments [to guarantee their identities are never revealed].

Team Six Seals are given access to the best weaponry money can buy.  They always operate under a strict veil of secrecy and use the latest technological advances to ensure a positive outcome swiftly.

Use of such technology was said to have been used during the raid on Bin Laden’s compound. A unmanned aircraft that reportedly captured the raid and sent live video directly to the White House for President Obama and his confidants to watch as the mission unfolded.

The RQ-170 surveillance drone, nicknamed ‘The Beast Of Kandahar’ is so secretive, the U.S. Air Force denied the futuristic looking weapon’s existence until 2009 and has never released an official photo of the reconnaissance aircraft.

The unmanned RQ-170-surveillance-drone, said to be used in the Bin Laden mission, videotaped the entire attack and sent live video to the White House

The Navy Seal are usually employed from water but are just as adapt at any other surface; including air, land and mountains.  They are highly trained in the use of weapons, orthodox self-defense techniques and HALO [high altitude low open] parachute jumping.

The Seals are send all over the world as first line defense to handle even the toughest, most dangerous situations: Vietnam War, Korean War and even World War II.

It’s during WWII in 1942 that the idea for Navy Seals were created as the U.S. government had a need for special forces to swarm beaches and secure areas before other troops were being send in.

A U.S. Navy Seal on a recognizance mission

Being a Navy Seal is a life commitment and requires immense dedication and a almost super-natural regiment of exercise and mental endurance.  It’s no surprise then that 80% of those wanting to become a Seal fail.  Two-thirds of those who sign up for the Seal training camp end up going home.

Thanks to the U.S. Navy Seals, the United States and for that matter the world, gets to let out a sigh of relief.  Bin Laden’s death may not bring terrorists to a grinding halt but it sure makes for easier sleeping knowing that the world’s most dangerous and most evil individual won’t have another chance to create another 9/11.

To the Navy Seals, the brave men that put their lives on the line without ever being acknowledged for their bravery and their accomplishments, we honor you today and say ‘Thank You’ for making our world a bit safer.

  1. [...] a fantasy. If it was a ‘kill mission’ they wouldn’t have needed Seal Team 6. A box filled with hand grenades would have been enough,” writes Pfarrer. The former commander [...]

  2. I wanted to point out a couple of errors in your facts about the Navy Seals. One, the Seals are not a branch of the Marines Corp.. In fact, the is a branch of the Navy Department and has been since the Revolutionary War. Second, the Seals were not formed until the Vietman were and were formed from the UDT’s (Underwater Demolition Teamss) of the Korean and WWII.
