A town in Missouri gets hit by a massive tornado during early morning hours swiping the area in half.

At least 89 people have been reported dead with more missing and two thousand homes have been destroyed.  More are feared dead under the massive heaps of twisted steal, wood and rubble.

The South and Mid-Western region of the United States has seen more than its share of violent weather this year. In April 2011 a more than 161 giant tornadoes swept through Alabama and other areas of the South.

Geologists say the extreme weathers not being experienced around the globe are part of the greenhouse effect because earth is getting warmer and carbon dioxide is being trapped creating vortexes that are very unstable, resulting in massive rain fall and super-sized tornadoes.
