BRUSSELS – The man who says he was the brain behind the 9/11 attack in the U.S. says Bin Laden’s capture will result in a nuclear bomb exploding in Europe.

According to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who has been imprisoned at Guantanamo Cuba since 2006, al-Qaida has a nuclear bomb hidden somewhere in Europe and if Osama Bin Laden is captured or killed the bomb will detonate and create a nuclear hell storm, destroying Europe.

Wikileaks documents read that the U.K. was the primary target of chemical and biological attacks and an assault similar to 9/11 was also planned, where a hijacked plane would drop into a Heathrow Airport terminal.

The German newspaper Der Spiegel reports that the Wikileaks cables reveal that Sheikh Mohammed had instigated two cells to bomb the Heathrow Airport in 2002.   The plan, which he said had been discussed with the highest officials of al-Qaida, was to hijack a plane on take of from the airport, then return it to Heathrow and drop it in one of the terminals.

Allegedly, one of the cells was instructed to take flying lessons somewhere in Kenya while the others were instructed to ‘snoop around’.   According to the terrorist, one of the steps of the plan was for his cells to infiltrate the airport ground personnel.

The German newspaper states that the documents also reveal that in 2001 the green light was given to attack the tallest buildings in California with hijacked planes.  The terrorists would gain access to the cockpit by exploding small shoe bombs which are powerful enough to create damage and injuries but not kill.

Sheikh Mohammed maintains that he personally decapitated the American journalist Daniel Pearl in 2002, using his ‘blessed right hand’.  He also insists he was one of the individuals who made a bomb explode at the World Trade Center in 1993 that killed six people.

The paper says that Sheikh Mohammed’s confessions should be taken with a ‘grain of salt’, since he made these statements while being subjected to waterboarding, a torture practice that gives its victim a real sense of drowning.

Former U.S. President George W. Bush approved waterboarding of prisoners held captive at Guantanamo.  In his memoirs, Bush wrote that the controversial method used to interrogate terrorists prevented the attacks on Heathrow airport, the world’s busiest airport, and Canary Wharf, London’s business district.

In November 2010 Bush told the London Times he was ‘damn right’ when approving that waterboarding torture be used on Sheikh Mohammed.
