DAMASCUS – Demonstrations against the Syrian Regime increases as 13 year old Hamza Ali al-Khateeb was laid to rest after being violently tortured to death by military police who support Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.
His body riddled with bullets, the young lad had been severely tortured. The skin from his hands and feet was ripped off and his penis was hacked off as well. The military police shattered Hamza’s kneecaps and broke his neck.
The regime had tried to cover up the gruesome death and had instructed Hamza’s parents not to talk about their son’s killing.
In defiance against the regime and with great courage, the parents decided not to obey the security forces and posted the horrendous photos of Hamza’s mutilated body online.
The parents of the boy insisted on showing the hardly recognizable body of their teenage son to remind the world about the sadistic, cold-bloody killings by the Syrian Regime.

The father has been picked up by Syrian security forces for disobeying their orders. No one knows his whereabouts.
Hamza was taken by the regime on April 16 during a protest in Jiza, a small village in rebel province of Dar’a.
For an agonising month, his desperate family waited for him to come home, terrified of what had become of him.
And when his broken body was finally returned, the injuries which disfigured almost every part of his flesh told the horrific story that he could not.
Now Hamza has become the symbol of courage for the Syrian people to rise up against the regime. Thousands took to the streets this weekend chanting his name.

Thousands of Syrians took to the streets this weekend in protest against President Assad. They chanted Hamaz in honor of the 13 year old who was brutally murdered by the Syrian regime.
Children demonstrated in Damascas while people gathered on the roofs in Aleppo to mark the ‘Day of Hamza’.
In the city of Hama, 116 miles from the capital, a huge crowd occupied the central square clutching copes of his photographs in their hands.
Radwan Ziadeh, an exiled human rights activist told the Washington Post the boy had already become a symbol of the Syrian revolution.
‘(His death) is the sign of the sadism of the Assad regime and its security forces,’ he said.
‘Torture is usual in Syria. It’s not something new or strange. What is special about Hamza is that he was only 13 years old. He really is a child.’
The Syrian uprisnig against President Bashar al-Assad is now entering its seventh week.
