NEW YORK – A police officer, nicknamed ‘Cannibal Cop’ for wanted to eat a woman, has been found guilty in a New York court.

The cop risks life imprisonment even though he never committed a crime.
28 year old Gilberto Valle spend much time on fetish websites and ‘dreamed’ of kidnapping women and torture, rape, kill and eat them.
After four days of deliberation, the 12 members jury found Valle ‘guilty of conspiracy with intend to kidnap women’.
The trial began on February 25th. Valle’s wife was a witness against her husband. The defense council claimed however that the former cop could not be convicted for his fantasies, however macabre they might be, because he never acted on them.
A FBI agent stated he discovered hundreds of downloaded web pages on Valle’s computer. All of them dealt with rape, torture and cannibalism.
According to the FBI agent, Valle spoke frequently about his fantasies with other website users and asked them for advice.
The agent said that Valle had created a list of potential victims that included names of female friends, acquaintances and even his own wife.
Gilberto Valle also accessed private police sites, according to the agent, making him guilty of unauthorized use of Federal data.
The Manhattan Federal Court will pronounce sentencing on June 19th.
