MOSCOW – Just a few week ago a meteorite crashed in the Tsjeljabinsk region in Russia. Since then a Russian opportunist has been busy creating a new perfume with that ‘special meteorite smell’, according to the Russian newspaper Ria Novosti.

Local business man Sergei Andreyev convinced authorities from the town of Tjerbakul to allow him to gather meteorite fragments and space dust that fell near the town’s lake, which he says he’ll use to create the ‘meteorite perfume’.

The new perfume will be aptly called ‘Tjerbakul Meteorite’ and will have a soft sent of metal and bits of stone.
The town of Tjerbakul stated it wants to pull in as much profit as possible from the meteorite phenomenon, which injured 1500 people.
Authorities for the Tsjeljabinsk region stated earlier they want to build a monument to remember the meteorite crash. A contest is being held where people can submit their ideas for a monument design.
