(NDJ) – A wild lion has killed the woman of a couple who were making out in the nude under bushes in the tourist town of Kariba, Zimbabwe.

Sharai Mawera was gnawed to death by a wild lion. Her male partner managed to escape and ran through the town in the buff, screaming.
Two male bodies, who were killed by the same lion or a pride of lions, were also found nearby the place where Mawera was killed.
The residents of Kariba are on edge and afraid to come out of their homes.
Thanks to the authoritarian regime imposed by Zimbabwe’s president Robert Mugabe, the African country has become dirt poor. Tourism is the only means of income for some Zimbabweans.
Especially the picturesque town of Kariba situated by Lake Kariba in the Zimbabwe valley, near the border of Zambia, is a much desired travel destination.
Kariba has 20,000 residents who make their living from tourists who come to the town to enjoy fishing, take boat trips across the lake, visit the local zoo, enjoy a safari tour or dance the night away.
But now the town is on edge and tourists, fearing for their lives, are staying away.
An eyewitness told police that the wild lion is part of a 7 members pride that has been hanging around Kariba for some time.
Authorities have passed out flyers to warn residents and tourists about the eminent danger lurking around Kariba. Police organized a large scale lion hunt which thus far has not resulted in killing or capturing the wild lions.
A giant speaker has been installed on the dam of the Kariba reservoir. Day and night the speaker blasts a message reminding people about the wild lions and warning everyone to be extremely cautious.
