(NDJ) – Graham Springer, a photographer and cameraman for ‘Earth Touch’, a TV station focusing solely on nature, got confronted with a wildlife experience unlike any other.

Working in jungle of Botswana, Africa, Springer was suddenly ‘greeted’ by a wild lioness that walked up to the cameraman and began to sniff his crotch.
Springer said he froze and hoped and prayed the lioness would walk away as friendly as she had appeared.
The company used the encounter to create a captivating story on its website with an equally catchy title: “”Earth Touch, our Planet Close up”.
Graham’s co-workers managed to capture the unusual encounter on video for the rest of the world to enjoy.
Graham explains what took place:
“We were shooting beautiful images of a lion pride in the Okavango Delta of Botswana before sunrise. I was by the jeep taking photo shots as low to the ground as I could. When I stood up I gazed in the eyes of a wild lioness standing just one inch from me. I stood perfectly still.”
“The lioness first passed me by, then she turned around, sniffed my gear and then she sniffed me,” Graham says about his hair raising experience.
“After a few nerve wrecking moments the lioness walked away, I could breathe again,” the cameraman says about his close encounter.
“As a wildlife photographer we never take risks that put our own lives or the lives of the animals in danger. I never experienced a blood curdling moment like this before.”
