Adele won the 2013 Oscar for ‘Best Title Song’ for her performance of ‘Skyfall’; the theme song for the James Bond movie with the same title.
An anonymous source said: “Producers of the movie found it fantastic how well ‘Skyfall’ was received and hope that Adele’s presence in the next James Bond movie will allow them to repeat that success”.
Reportedly, the producers would love for Adele to follow in the footsteps of legendary Welch singer Shirley Bassey, who performed the theme song for three James Bond movies: ‘Goldfinger’ (1964) , ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ (1972) and ‘Moonraker’ (1979).
Shirley Bassey however never won an Oscar for any of her three super performances.
