GAZA STRIP – Several dozen giant Mantas mysteriously washed ashore at a sandy beach in Gaza, Palestine on Wednesday.

Fishermen examined the stingray but couldn’t determine what caused their deaths. They loaded up the Mantas on a cart and hauled their find to the local market.
It’s the first time in six years that giant Mantas have been seen on that beach. No one knows at this time why the Mantas washed ashore or why they are dead.
Giant Mantas are the largest stingray variety on the planet. They can grow up to 23 feet in length. Their skeleton is made up of cartilage instead of bone.
