Jonah Pournazarian has been diagnosed with glycogen storage disease type 1B , a rare liver disorder that doesn’t have a cure.
Dylan decided to raise money for his best friend. To do that he wrote a book that he published two months ago and sold chocolate bars. Dylan has already raised $US30,000. He hopes to get to one million.
Dylan’s 16 pages thick book entitled ‘Chocolate Bar’ tells a story where everything is chocolate bar, the two best friends’ slang for ‘cool’.

“Disneyland is so chocolate bar,” Dylan’s book starts out. The last page of the book reads: “I want so very much to help my friend, that’s the biggest chocolate bar”.
David Siegel, Dylan’s dad, said his son told him he wanted to help his best friend. “We said, let’s do a lemonade stand”. “He looked at us and said, ‘I want to write a book.’”
Dylan has also created a Facebook page and a website where he excepts donations on behalf of his friend Jonah.
Jonah’s parents, who live in Los Angeles, opened a charity fund for their son six years ago. Today the charity has collected over $US400,000.
Jonah’s dad, Rabin Pournazarian, said that Dylan’s ‘Chocolate Bar’ book is set to exceed that amount.
Jonah was diagnosed with his illness when he was a baby and suffered from night sweats and low blood sugar. His genetic condition afflicts one in a million children, his father said.
