Hugo Chavez health is deterriorating

According to Elías Jaua, Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chavez is having severe breathing difficulties but adds that the cancer treatments he recently received in Cuba are promising.

On Thursday the Venezuela government had already announced that President Hugo Chavez’ health conditions were ‘not favorable’ and that the President has been having breathing difficulties since his last operation in Cuba.

“The president continues to cling to Christ with the greatest possible will to live,” said Ernesto Villegas, Minister of Information.

Jaua stated on State television VTV: “We highly value the live of our President so that he can continue with the radical transformation of the Venezuelan society.”

President Hugo Chavez has reportedly cancer in his abdomen or groin region but has never clearly specified the type of cancer he has been diagnosed with.

The past years, he underwent several surgeries in Cuba to remove tumors and receive cancer treatments.
