LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles court has granted Michael Jackson’s brother Jermain his request to have his family name changed from ‘Jackson’ to ‘Jacksun’, according to TMZ.

Jermain Jackson, who had already requested the name change in October last year, got the approval of family name change on Friday. He will henceforth go through life not as Jermain Jackson but Jermain Jacksun, thereby allegedly cutting all ties with his famous family.

Jacksun said during a prior statement that he wanted to change his family name because of artistic reasons. What exactly those reasons are he has yet to say.

The Jackson clan did not respond to Jermain Jacksun’s name change.
