LONDON – Caffrey, a Persian cat, lost one leg when he was just 3 years old because of an accident. Now at the age of 13 he lost yet another leg. Despite having only two legs, Caffrey walks and jumps without any difficulty, amazing everyone, including his veterinarians.

Four months ago, fate dealt the British Caffrey yet another blow. Already having lost one leg during a car accident 10 years ago, his owners discovered a bump in the only leg left on Caffrey’s left side.

Veterinarians determined it was cancer and chemotherapy would more than likely heal the solid black Persian cat. But that is time consuming and expensive and despite doctor’s warnings that Caffrey would never be able to walk or run again, his owners opted to have his only left leg amputated.
Amazingly, Caffrey not only made a full recovery but he surprised everyone that he is able to run and jump again on just two right legs without a problem.
“It’s as if he isn’t missing his other two legs,” says Caffrey’s owner.
Even the veterinarians were amazed when they saw Caffrey run and climb stairs on just two right legs, which requires great balance and agility, something Caffrey is doing with uncanny ease.
