LONDON – British singer Adele is following in the footsteps of legendary singers before her who suffer from paralyzing stage fright despite winning numerous accolades.

Adele (25), who in October gave birth to her son Angelo, is now seeing a hypnotherapist in Los Angeles, who is going to help her overcome her binding fear for performing live on stage.

Adele is scheduled to perform ‘Skyfall’ at the Oscars on February 24th, yet already the British sensation who took the world by storm with her powerful sultry voice, says she’s trembling with fear at the thought she has to sing live in Hollywood.
“She’s rehearsed the song numerous times with the orchestra but it doesn’t matter who many times she practices, she just can shake her fear of stage fright,” said a source to The Sun.
It’s been 12 months since Adele last performed live during the British Awards in 2012. Her Oscar performance is looked at as her ‘comeback’ and that adds extra pressure to wanting to do super well.
Adele is also a nominee in the Oscars for ‘Best Original Song’, with her hit ‘Skyfall’, the title song for the James Bond movie ‘Skyfall’.
Another legendary singer who trembled with every live performance she gave was Barbra Streisand. Even as a veteran senior with more than 40 years of professional singing behind her back, Streisand admits to being scared to death when she has to sing live.
