“Stop with pushing your action points down everyone’s throat. Leave the heterosexual alone,” the Senator said on national TV.
The Senator, who wanted to explain the content of an email he had forwarded to the general advisory board in Tennessee, called TMZ.com and stated he doesn’t hate gay people, he just thinks that elementary schoolkids shouldn’t talk about homosexuality.
Campfield said that the comparison between gay rights activists and African Americans during the time of the American civil war is an insult to black people.
The Senator added that the gay community should leave the rest of the population alone: “We do not want to be bothered with it every day”.
