SEATTLE – Thursday January 31, 2013 marks the final day to get Windows 8 operating system below retail. As of February 1 2013, the operating system will get a price hike.

Since October 26 2012, Windows 8 Pro could be purchased for merely $US37.50. Not anymore, that deals ends Feb 1. From then on, you’ll have to fork out $US349.99, 9 times as much as the introductory offer.
As of February 1, an upgraded version of Windows 8 will retail for $US249.98.
Microsoft did warn us computer buffs from onset that Windows 8 intro price was only going to be temporarily.
Tech experts say however, Microsoft’s price hike won’t reflect kindly on the company’s newest operating system’s sales, which haven’t anything to write home about to begin with.
