LOS ANGELES – There have been crazy wedding proposals making the news in the past. But the one by Hector Martinez has to top them all and is probably the most illegal too.

Martinez has two loves in his life: his motorcycle and his girlfriend Page Hernandez. He decided to combine both his loves in a one of a kind but very illegal wedding proposal.

Hector Martinez drummed hundreds of motor riders together and clogged up the busy Los Angeles 10 interstate freeway. In West Covina, about 20 minutes from downtown Los Angeles, Hector and his bike buddies halted their engines in the middle of the freeway, preventing any traffic from getting through and there in the middle of I10, Martinez proposed.
The entire stunt was performed nearby an overpass where parents and friends of the couple were standing to witness the event while cameras rolled to record it.
When Page said ‘Yes’, smoke from screeching bike tires filled the air.
The bike group quickly remounted as to not hold up Los Angeles traffic too long. “We planned it well and everything went safely but it was of course illegal,” Martinez later told a local radio station.
Police haven’t bothered Hector Martinez just yet but Highway Patrol has stated they would like to talk to him.
