At least 20 people disappeared after the Colombian-style group Kombo Kolombia gave a performance in Monterey, Mexico.

The band was reported missing when they didn’t show up for a Friday evening engagement. Authorities have since the disappearance recovered 8 bodies from a well located nearby the town of Mina.
People living near the the bar in Hidalgo, a municipality north of Monterrey, said they heard gunshots around 4:00AM Friday morning followed by the screeching sound of cars speeding away.
When family members went to the bar to investigate they discovered the band’s vehicles still parked at the bar’s parking lot.
Kombo Kolombia was a popular band in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon. They been given performances at several venues for the past 3 years playing Colombian style music known as ‘vallenato’.
Many bands in Mexico play music with lyrics that celebrate the exploits of drug traffickers. Kombo Kolombia was not such a band and the songs the band played did not deal with violence and drug trafficking.
Authorities said because the case is still ongoing they could not offer more details about the incident.
