“The ongoing lack of food for common people in North Korea is driving many to commit unthinkable acts just to stay alive, something they would never do under normal circumstances,” one journalist reported.

Thousands of North Koreans fear they’ll die from starvation while their leader Kim Jong-Un indulges in deluxe food parties. Reportedly 10,000 people already died from hunger in southern North Korea.

A child from Hwanghae tells the journalist this horrific story:

“In my town a man was executed in May because he had killed his two kids and tried to eat them. He had even offered their meat to his wife. The wife reported the crime after she found her children’s bodies. That’s when they executed him.”

The stories were collected by the Asian Press.

North Korea does not have enough food to adequately feed its 24 million citizens. Lasting drought has reduced crop growth and aggravated the food situation in a country known for having severe food shortages.
