Since then, Google has developed a new Maps App for Apple which is available from Apple’s App store, allowing Google Maps to gain ground once again.

Despite losing its number one spot to Facebook Apps, Google has no reason for concerns. Five of the six most used apps on cell phones belong to Google.

On average people spend 23 percent of their time playing with the Facebook App. The spend 10 percent of their time on Google Apps with Gmail being the most popular.
