HOLLYWOOD – Actor Victor Garber, who stared as Thomas Andrews, the ship’s builder, in the epic movie The Titanic, has come out of the closet declaring he is gay.

The public statement by the 63 year old actor comes just days after actress Jodi Foster’s candid but indirect confession about her own sexual preference during her acceptance speech of the Cecil B DeMille lifetime achievement award which was given to her during last Sunday’s Golden Globe ceremony.
Seemingly, Foster’s speech, which left many of her colleagues teary-eyed, has inspired other Hollywood celebrities to come out of the closet as well.
Garber said it didn’t make sense anymore to keep it quiet. “Everybody knows it,” he told blogger Greg Hernandez.
Victor Garber is currently in a steady relationship with artist Rainer Andreesen. The two are set to appear together on the red carpet of the SAG Awards come end January.
