Renzo Iozzelli died September 2011 at the age of 71. Ever since then Toldo has been appearing at his grave site every day, seemingly unable to get pass the grievance for her dead master.
Iozzelli took Toldo in his home and gave her much love and care when he found her as a kitten along the roadside in 2008.
But now that Renzo has passed, Toldo hasn’t forgotten her kind and caring keeper. Every day she visits him and brings him a gift ranging from plastic cups to tissue paper, small branches and other objects.
Since then, Toldo has become Montagnana’s endearing companion to everyone who lives there. Residents see to it she is kept safe, well fed and can go visit Renzo undisturbed anytime she pleases.
