The journalist’s family had kept this information quiet until Wednesday when they publicly announced they don’t know where he is.
James Foley (39) was kidnapped on November 22 2012 in the province of Idlib, Syria.
GlobalPost, a news media where Foley once worked, said that the journalist was intercepted by men in a vehicle when he was on route to the Syrian-Turkish border.
According to the paper, two armed men forced James Foley to get out of his vehicle. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Foley’s family decided to make this information public because they want to create public awareness about his disappearance, hoping it will lead to a possible communication between themselves and James Foley.
