The band stopped touring when their singer-guitarist Billy Joe Armstrong was admitted to a rehab center for excessive alcohol and drug use.
The singer was admitted to a rehab after the band ended its concert in Las Vegas. During that performance, Armstrong says he lost total control, slammed a guitar to bits and caused the band to cancel all their remaining 2012 performances.
On Tuesday Armstrong said: “I want to thank all my fans for their love and support those past few months”.
“Believe me it didn’t go unnoticed. I am forever grateful to you. I am feeling better every day. The show can begin again.”
The band didn’t say on what date they will resume their tour.
