The Beckham family discovered that first hand when they flew to the Maldives during the Christmas holiday looking for super deluxe get-away.

Despite spending $US15,000 per night for the most expensive suite at the One&Only Reethi Rah Resort and an additional $US6,000 per night for 3 other suites, David Beckham, his wife Victory and their four kids couldn’t enjoy it.
That’s because it rained, none-stop, every single day since they arrived in the Maldives on December 23 and forecasts were predicting sun any time soon.
The Beckhams who had intended to stay in the Maldives for 11 days and scuba dive, play tennis and fish packed their bags just 3 days later and on December 26 they headed to sunnier and drier places on a private jet.
The hotel personnel ensured David Beckham the weather would clear up soon trying to talk him out from leaving.
But being cooped up in a hotel room with their four kids Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper wasn’t David and Victoria’s idea of a Christmas getaway.
