One such team that had expressed interest well before Beckham’s time with The Galaxy was up is ‘AS Monaco’, playing for the country of Monaco.
That offer however has been officially withdraw because the team’s financial backers say ‘Beckham is asking for too much’ … money that is.
A few weeks ago, AS Monaco director Tor-Kristian Karlsen met with the 37 year old who had then agreed to play with the club providing several conditions were met.
It’s those ‘conditions’ club AS Monaco can’t adhere or comply with.
So what does Beckham want besides a very lucrative salary?
He wants to be able to play with his national British soccer team during major soccer events. He also wants to play matches with his old team of A.C. Milan, Italy, whenever they ask him to play there.
There are several other conditions that haven’t been made public.
A few teams in Australia had also expressed interest in having Beckham after The Galaxy but those bids have suddenly become quiet as well.
