Daughter Jacqueline – whose September wedding was filmed for the mun2 show “I love Jenni” said: ““I thank you for those little moments we had that no one can take away. And mom, it’s my turn to make you proud and I will live the rest of my life to make you smile.”

The youngest daughter of Jenni, 15-year-old Jenicka took to the stage, apologizing to her mother for “not showing you that I loved you.”

She added: “I’m sorry for not being obedient or respectful. I can say, mom, you are my warrior and my rock …I love you with all of my heart.”

Rosa Saavedra, Jenni Rivera’s mom thanked the fans for their support, explaining that they “give me the strength to keep on going.” She asked everyone to keep the memories of her daughter alive and added that she intends to keep her daughter’s songs on her phone.

A video tribute honoring “La Diva de la Banda” played on three large screens within the theater.

Immediately following the video a Mexican regional band began playing and Rivera’s casket was brought onto the stage by her brothers and 11-year-old son, Johnny López Rivera.

The memorial – which the Rivera family has referred to as a “celestial graduation” – is an opportunity for her fans to pay their respects to the deceased “I Love Jenni” star, who sold more than 15 million albums in her lifetime.
