Ramsey III Death Mystery Finally Solved

Numerous X-rays and DNA samples taken from Ramsey’s remains have finally solved the mystery plot to murder him.

According to the evidence retrieved from the research, Pharaoh Ramsey III, who ruled from 1194 to 1163 BC, had this throat slit by a “disgruntled harem”.

The conspiracy of the Pharaoh’s harem to murder him had already been written about during antiquity. The document, named ‘The Abiding Papyrus’, is kept in Turin, Italy.

The document makes reference to a plot construed by Queen Tiyi, one of the Pharaoh’s women, who managed to make contact with military leaders and priests and convinced them into killing the Pharaoh during a night of partying.

She wanted her son Pentaour on the throne and not Ramsey’s legal heir Ramsey II, convinced by his first wife Isis.

According to the documents, the plot was carried out in 1156 BC. 30 individuals were put on trial but Ramsey’s lot was veiled in mystery and has been ever since.

Ramsey III mummy was found in the 19th century. It is believed he was 65 years old at the time of his death.

German researcher Albert Zink subjected the mummy to the newest technology of medical 3 dimensional imaging and computer operated tomography (wave technology), which revealed a deep wound in the Pharaoh’s throat just below the larynx.

The wound is 70 mm long and cut to the bone. His trachea was cut with a knife or sharp object.

“The width and the depth of the wound are so severe, Ramsey III died instantly,” researchers said.

The tomography also revealed an object lodged in the wound; a stone amulet known as the ‘Eye of Horus’, which was used by Egyptians to invoke healing power.

Albert Zink said: “The cut throat and the amulet clearly indicate that Pharaoh Ramsey III was murdered”.

The findings about Ramsey III, the last great Pharaoh’s death were published in the British Medical Journal on Monday.
