While sorting the many letters and pieces of paper that had formed several rather impressive piles on and around his desk, Yurcus stumbled upon a lottery ticket that, judging from the date, had been laying on his desk for two solid months.

Turns out the ticket was good for $US1 million prize, a nice little retirement fund for Ron Yurcus and his wife.
“I decided to finally clean up the mess at me desk when I wanted to setup a new computer system,” the former Chaplain tells the Illinois lottery.
“In total, I found 12 tickets between my many piles of paper. Before throwing them away I decided to look at the lottery site just to be sure,” Yurcus says.
“When I realized I won a million dollars I began to scream from joy!”
Ron and his wife Kathleen want to invest a portion of the money. A portion will go to the family that extends into 3 grand-children and 4 great-grand-children. Yet another part of the winnings will go to several good causes.
“It pays to be messy, as long as you clean up afterwards,” says Yurcus smiling ear to ear.
