“There are few indications over the possibility of an armistice,” Morsi said during a conference with Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
He added however there were no ‘guarantees’ and did not provide further details.
In the meantime fighting continues and rockets continue to fly across the sky in both directions. A recent Israeli attack on Gaza injured 3 journalists employed by al-Guds TV.
A high-ranking Hamas official told AFP in Gaza they are refusing a ‘seize fighting’ because there are doubts that the conditions to lay down weapons will be guaranteed.
Israel has continued to bomb the suburb of Beit Lahiya in Northern Gaza while its firefighters focus on dropping bomb in the southern part of the Gaza strip.
Since Wednesday, when Israel launched the “Pillar of Defense” operation, 48 people have been killed; 45 Palestinians and 3 Israeli.
More than 400 people have been injured; most of them from Palestine.
