The bus collided with a train, killing most of the toddlers, ages 4 to 8. There were 60 kids on board the bus. 18 were injured during the crash, including the driver and supervisors.

The deadly incident occurred in Manfalut, about 180 miles south of Cairo. The impact of the train was so powerful, it broke the bus into two pieces.
Witnesses claim the rail beams were open when the bus drove over the tracks. An investigation pointed out that the man responsible for controlling the beams had fallen asleep. He has been arrested.
Several parents whose child died in the crash demand the man receives the death penalty.
Egypt’s President Mohamed Mursi, has ordered his government to extend all possible help to the parents of the little victims.
According to Egyptian state media, Rashad al-Metini, minister of transportation stepped down from his position after the accident, as did the director of the railroad agency.
