NEW-YORK – Tennis, the game of gentlemen and ladies has shown its not so gentle or lady like face. Thursday, at the US Open held at Flushing Meadows in New York, a first fight erupted, making this the first ever such brawl in tennis history.
It’s the kind of spectacle one has come to expect from soccer enthusiasts or hockey players, but tennis … this is new, whether you’re a tennis buff or not.
According to the New York Daily News, a fight broke out between a man and woman in the spectator stands Thursday evening as Novak Djokovic and Philipp Petzschner played nearby.

US Open 2010 tennis fans get roudy and a brawl breaks out.
Reportedly the fight broke out as when a woman slept a loud mouthed fellow in the face. An older person got involved as well.
The young man and the woman were both taken into custody by the police.
