LONDON – Kate Middleton’s topless photos took the world by storm only a week ago. And despite media has simmered down a bit, there are still plenty of stories abound relating to what the Duchess of Cambridge did.

Surprisingly, most British women said they would never do what Kate did and sunbathe topless. Only 14 percent of U.K. women would follow Kate Middleton’s trend, according to a recent study.
Six in 10 women interviewed said they would prefer to keep their bikini top on because they don’t have the ‘perfect’ figure.54 percent of women said they wouldn’t want to be seen naked by strangers.
32 percent said they wouldn’t go topless because of children who may be playing nearby.
But if the women could lay on their stomachs, going topless would not be a problem.
61 percent said they would not have a problem taking their top off if they can lay on their stomachs and have a chance to tan the ‘white lines’ on their backs.
Only 6 percent of British women said they would sunbathe topless in their own country, appose to 14 percent who said they would remove their top in a foreign country.
The women in the study expressed mixed opinions when they were asked what they thought about Kate Middleton going topless.
“Kate is very sure of herself” said one participant.
“She shouldn’t have done it,” said another.
As for Laurence Pieau, the Editor in Chief of Closer Magazine that published the Duchess of Cambridge’s topless photos, she believes that “Kate is a young woman who enjoys sunning topless like millions of others who do that in France and around the world”.
There seems to be some truth in that statement. Kate and her sister Pippa have been spotted once before ‘going topless’ on a yacht; accompanied by William and a few more male friends.
