23 year old Jimmy Stringer had just robbed the Michael Jones’ jewelry store in Banbury, U.K. and managed to run away with $US500,000 worth of precious watches.
Stringer didn’t get far however, a man yelled “Stop him, stop the thief” and six brave pedestrians set after the young man.
One caught up with the thief and with a real rugby tackle, he threw Stringer to the ground. Then he went to sit on top of the man and told him not to move.
Another pedestrian assisted and held stringer down as well. Police arrived shortly thereafter and arrested the thief.
Just before police arrived Stringer tried to break free. Quickly 2 more pedestrians took charge and went to sit on him and kept him pinned down.
Stringer isn’t the only thief however to rob Michael Jones’ jewelry. The store has been hit 3 times over the past five years by a group of thugs.
They smashed the display cases with hammers and fled with an undisclosed amount of designer watches.
