SEOUL – When it comes to traveling, for most passengers the extra attention they get during long lines, delays and dreaded security checks, would be welcomed with open arms.
Some international airports have taken notice of travelers’ complains and have done something about it to make the ‘airport experience’ more enjoyable.
Surprisingly none of Europe’s or America’s airports have earned a spot in the top five as chosen by world travelers.
And maybe not surprising is that according to passengers, the top five airports in the world are in Asia.
One of those airports sticks out over and above the rest for cleanliness, friendliness and overall airport service experience.
The Incheon International Airport in Seoul, S. Korea, has been named the best airport in the world for seven years in the row.
Throughout the airport, service personnel is ready to assists and the numerous ‘direction’ signs are clearly marked and plainly visible with their bright blue colors written in both Korean and English.

That’s not all what makes the Incheon Airport the number one airport in the world. Amenities, accessible to all passengers passing through Incheon, include a casino, a golf course, a health spa and plenty of duty free shops.
The next four airports, all located in Asia, round out the top five of the world’s best airports:
2. Changi Airport (Singapore)
3. Beijing Capital International Airport (China)
4. Hong Kong International Airport (China)
5. Chubu airport in Nagoya (Japan)
As for America’s airport LAX in Los Angeles, the John F. Kennedy Airport in New York or the O’Hara Airport in Chicago, none of them made the top 10.
