CARACAS – Venezuelan President Chavez doesn’t hide his opinion about his only presidential opponent under a bench. During a recent speech he called his rival a ‘marginal pig’.
Henrique Capriles is the only other individual in the running to become President of Venezuela, which will hold its presidential elections in October.
That doesn’t stop current President Chavez, well known for his boisterous opinions, from publicly expressing what he feels about his opponent.
“It it my job fool, I mean Mr. fool, to take off your mask,” said Chavez in a speech that he required all radio and TV stations to broadcast.“No matter how you dress up, you got the tail of a pig, the ears of a pig and you grunt like a pig. It’s not use to cover up, you are still a marginal pig.”
All of Chavez’ opposition parties support Capriles, who says he is center left, and thrives on the same popularity as did former Brazilian President Lula da Silva.
“That’s a cover up,” says Chavez who accuses Capriles of having alliances with the United States.
“You got no chance against me. The only place that you will rule is the land of Tarzan and his chimp Cheeta.”
The last few days, the media, which is for the most part controlled by Chavez, painted Capriles as a liar, a homosexual, a Zionist and a Nazi.
Despite Chavez’ best efforts to demoralize and bombard his opponent with negative publicity, Capriles is well liked and political experts believe he actually has a chance to beat Chavez in the up and coming presidential elections in October.
Hugo Chavez has been president of Venezuela since 1999 and is openly against the United States.
