MAR DEL PLATA – A seldom seen occurrence in the boxing world took place in the town Mar Del Plata, Argentina, after Filipino fighter Johnriel Casimero defeated local favorite Luis Lazarte on Friday night.
The boxers were in the ring fighting for the IBF Flyweight Word Championship title.
The 21 year old Filipino claimed that title but was force to hide in the dressing room with his entourage, when an angry and aggravated Argentine audience suddenly jumped the stage and began a slug feast with the Filipino boxing team.
Even during the fight Casimero had to endure punches from Lazarte that were rather ‘dubious’ and at one moment Lazarte pulled a ‘Tyson’ on Casimero, biting him.
Casimero was undeterred by Lazarte’s cowardly acts and in the ninth round he floored his opponent, claiming the IBF title.
At the end Lazarte commented that he was retiring from boxing and that ‘it was Casimero’s fault because of his unfair boxing’.

That’s all it took for the audience’s temper to start flaring, stools began flying and before long, a few strong man jumped in the ring pulling a fight with Casimero.
Casimero did receive a few blows in the exchange but stood his ground and fought back like the champion he proved to be moments earlier.
