Aussie Fights Shark To Save Tourists

26 year old David Pickering didn’t hesitate for one second when his group of snorkeling students were threatened by a 9 foot tiger shark.

A group of tourists who were given a brief snorkeling lesson suddenly found themselves staring into the eyes of a tiger shark. Luckily for the tourists, their teacher is a young man, who is not afraid to put his life on the line to assure their safety.

Without hesitation and barehanded, Pickering jumped at the shark and began to fight with the animal until his students managed to run to safety. At that point the Aussie man managed to free himself from the shark’s teeth and swim ashore.

He was taken to a nearby hospital were the doctors confirmed several shark bites in Pickering’s arms and hands.

Media was on site to interview the brave snorkeling teacher who remarkable wasn’t traumatized by the event and told reporters he can’t wait to get back into the water.

A few tourists who watched David Pickering wrestle with the shark call him a hero and say that the snorkeling class could have taken a much different turn if it wasn’t for their teacher’s quick thinking and brave action.
