MOSCOW – Russian scientist Leonid Ksanfomaliti believes that based on information he retrieved from photos taken of Venus in 1982 by Russian spaceship Venus-13, sustainable life exists on the planet.

Ksanfomaliti, a researcher of space travel at the Russian Academy of Science, says he saw scorpion-like outlines in the photos that appear to be alive. According to the researcher, the life forms move about just under or directly above Venus’ surface.

“In one photo you can clearly see their outline while in another picture of the same area they are gone,” says the Russian scientist.

Although Venus is about the size of earth, the planet has always been considered inhabitable by other space experts around the world and no proof has ever been given that Venus harbors life.

Should Ksanfomaliti’s find and claim be confirmed as accurate, it would mean a breakthrough for humans to occupy the ‘love’ Planet one day.

Scientists state that the planet is too close to the sun and temperatures on Venus can soar to 860 degrees Fahrenheit (460 degrees Celsius).
