SYDNEY – She may be just 8 years old but that doesn’t stop Juliet from being a first class rock star.
The young girl released her first song last week: a hardcore ode for her dog and her fish. Already the lassie from Down Under has been climbing the internet charts with 12 million hits and she’s a sensation on iTunes as well.

Juliet recorded the music video with help from her mom, who operated the camera, and a family friend who controlled the music. The lyrics are her own and are a tribute to her dog Robert and her fish.
As soon as the ‘girl from Queensland’ released her video on YouTube, mega music site Metal Hammer picked up her song and the rest is history. She currently stands in second place at iTunes metal charts.
And at Juliet Childs’ home, the phone is ringing off the hook with requests for interviews by German TV stations, Good Morning America, and ABC. A music agency also called asking to manage Juliet.
Mom and dad aren’t yet gun-ho to get their daughter in the spotlight so soon and are quietly hoping the ‘buzz’ will actually die down a bit.
“She has school tomorrow and she still has to do her homework and that’s much more important than all the hype that’s going on now. We never thought it would go that quickly,” says Juliet’s mom.
As for the money that is certain to come the young girl’s way over the next following months, her parents say they’ll open up a savings account for her.
“She can use the money later on to buy a car or take a long trip somewhere.”
As for Juliet, she’s just your ordinary typical young “kid” who takes all the sudden attention and fame in stride.
