SYDNEY – After 21 years in jail, Australian Tracey Wigginton (46) was allowed to go free serving a fraction of her sentence.
Wigginton was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1991 for the sadistic ‘vampire murder’ of Edward Baldock in 1989 in Brisbane.
Baldock, a father of four, was stabbed 27 times by Wigginton who at the end of her vicious crime, drank the victims blood.
Aussies aren’t pleased with Wigginton’s release because more than likely she’ll have to survive living of government assistance which can amount to tens of thousands of dollars, at the expense of Australian taxpayers, because most likely no one would be willing to hire her.
Reportedly, she qualifies for about $2,000 a month in government assistance. Wigginton also has health issues and is looking to have a hip replacement at the expense of the Aussies.
Equally upsetting for Australians is that the vampire murderer was allowed to go free even after she attacked a guard in prison in 2006.
Wigginton’s murder was described as horrific. In court, one prosecutor used the comparison of her actions to a ‘crazy shark attack’.
Assisted by three friends, including her former lover, Wigginton lured 47 year old Baldock to the Brisbane park where she merciless slashed and stabbed the man, almost decapitating him.
During her trial, witnesses stated that Wigginton drank blood on a regular basis and that she possessed strange powers that could “make people disappear except for their eyes”.
In a 1996 interview, Wigginton said of herself: “I was an animal!”.
