Woman Coughs Out Tumor

LONDON – Claire Osborn was given a death sentence by her doctor who told her that the tissue piece she coughed up a few weeks ago was cancer.

Osborn was told by her doctor that she had an aggressive form of mouth and throat cancer that could not be operated. She was advised to get ready for radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Her doctor also told Claire she would only have a 50 percent chance to survive the cancer.

But all that suddenly changed two weeks later when Claire suddenly began coughing severely. Suddenly, a one inch piece of fleshy tissue jumped out of her mouth while she coughed profusely.

Osborn took the lump to her doctor who diagnosed it as her cancer tumor.

After examining Osborn, the doctor could not find any trace of her mouth and throat cancer and the tumor was gone as well. He concluded that Claire coughed out her tumor literally.

“I think you coughed your tumor out, congrats,” said the doctor to Claire.

The British woman tells Huffington Post “if I would not have coughed out the tumor, it would undoubtedly have continued to grow and spread to other parts of my body”.

Doctors believe that Claire’s tumor grew on a small stem that broke off while the woman coughed and released the tumor.
