30 Story Building In 15 Days

BEIJING – In China, fast and efficient is the norm. When a new 30 story building was constructed from the ground up in the province of Hunan and completed in just 360 hours, China redefined once more exactly what it means with ‘being fast and efficient’.

The Broad Group built the 30 story hotel by the Dongting Lake, using pre-fab flooring and walls to speed up the project and complete the structure at lightning speed.

Not only did a 30 story hotel rise up from the ground in just 15 days but the contractor states it is capable of resisting a 9.0 earthquake and when completed, the hotel will be a lot more energy efficient than a standard build structure.

Giant floor and wall parts, complete with electric lighting and outlets build in, where constructed at the Broad Group factory.

The “sheets” of construction were then transported to the site where the hotel was to be constructed.

Highly skilled technicians, well trained in putting construction pieces together like a puzzle, saw to it that the hotel was completely in just 15 days.

Construction building with pre-fabs has not only the advantage of saving time but it also costs 3 to 10 times less what it would cost to construct a similar structure the ‘old-fashion’ way.

For the Broad Group this is not their first undertaking in building pre-fab multi-floor structures. They already built the Ark hotel using similar materials and completed the project in just six days.

A spokesperson for the company says they currently have 150 such projects on file waiting to be build using their pre-fab method.
