MEXICO CITY – A 35 year old Mexican lawyer has decided to give her profession the honor it deserves and transforms herself into a vampire monster – permanently.
When Esquire Maria Jose Cristerna decided to go through a physical metamorphoses she made sure she transformed top to bottom into a mystifying creature complete with horns made from Titanium, vampire teeth, upper nose and eyebrow studs and of course, a full body tattoo.

Cristerna also added, appropriately, nose and lip rings and ear stretchers to give her entire ‘new’ look a harmonized completeness.
The lawyer’s rare appearance gave her a permanent home at the ‘rare items’ museum of Ripley’s Believe It or Not, where visitors can see a full-sized wax image of her – trimmings and all.
Maria, known as the Mexican Vampire Lady says she chose to transform herself in what she looks like today after she became the victim of a traumatic and violent personal experience.
According to Cristerna, her body metamorphoses makes her mentally much stronger and emphasizes the beginning of a new chapter in her life.
“I got vampire teeth because as a little girl I always liked vampires. I also had my eyeballs painted blue because I like them best like that,” said Maria smiling squeamishly, giving us the creeps.

But as the saying goes: “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and looking into Maria’s ‘blue’ eyes, that is most certainly true.
