NEW DELHI – Sherlyn Chopra is a 28 year old Bollywood beauty whose ambition it is to be first Indian female to appear naked in Playboy magazine.

The actress is well aware that her intentions aren’t exactly welcomed with open arms by a nation that considers display of public nudity offensive. Already she is being accused of bringing India to shame.
Chopra told BBC Hindi it was her idea to contact Playboy to propose the nude shots but admits “it won’t be easy standing naked in front of the camera and looking good at the same time”.
India is already in uproar of the actress’ intention, even though Playboy magazine is forbidden in that country. Authorities fear however men will look for the beauty on the internet.

“She isn’t exciting, she’s repugnant,” one critic posted on Twitter.
Sherlyn Chopra, who has managed to attract only small roles in Bollywood thus far, isn’t shy about being naked however and rumors have it that she’s even considering staring in porn films.
“The Indian youth wants to be liberated and that’s why ‘out of the question’ choices are no longer taboo,” Chopra said.
Chopra is proud of her accomplishments: “I am the first Indian woman to pose naked for Playboy and no one can take that away from me”.
The actress said her sister is proud of what she’d done but admits she hasn’t told her mother yet.

The Bollywood beauty said she met Hugh Hefner in Los Angeles and added that he is now her newest idol “because he lives life on his own terms”.
Playboy magazine has been around since 1953 but is censured in many Asian countries.
