BEVERLY HILLS – Movie producer Laura Ziskin has passed away at her home in Los Angeles. She was 61.
Movie producer Laura Ziskin passed away at 61
Ziskin, a Hollywood movie producer, rose to fame with her 1990 film “Pretty Woman” giving the then unknown actress Julia Roberts her big break.
She went on to make other box office hits with “As Good As It Gets” in 1997 including all the Spiderman movies.
Laura Ziskin has been battling breast cancer for the past seven years but lost her fight on Sunday.
Seventeen years ago, Ziskin married screenwriter Alvin Sargent and she has one daughter, Julia, from a previous marriage to Julian Barry, who was also a screenwriter.
